New LAM publication

Gold nanocrystals (AuNCs) have been recently attracting interest as potential antimicrobial agents. One of the hurdles hindering quantitative studies in this area is the limited stability of AuNCs in common bacterial growth media (BGMs) with respect to flocculation.

On July 29, 2026, the article: “Stabilization of Gold Nanocrystals in Tryptic Soy Broth Bacterial Growth Medium“, authored by LAM researchers Ivana Božeková; Gokul Raj Mini Rajendran, Milan Sýkora, in collaboration with Monika Hofbauerová, Alica Rosová; Mária Mazúrová; Miroslava Horniačková, from the Slovak Medical University, was published in ACS Applied Bio Materials.
